Meet the Team

Andy Simpson

andy-300Andy joined the Key-Player team in September 2013.  A well known figure in Scotland’s music community and with over 35 years experience in the Music Trade, we are proud to have him working with us. Keyboards and rhythm based products are his speciality, and he demonstrates them with a fun and enthusiastic style!

Richard Bower

richard-300After 16 years working as a Yamaha UK freelance demonstrator, Richard has settled in Scotland and is delighted to now be part of the Key Player team. He remains one of Yamaha’s key technical specialists and hosts the monthly in store Key Player Owner’s Club where he provides priceless technical and creative advice to Tyros, S-series and Clavinova customers.

As our resident organ player, Richard lends his experience to building organ systems around Yamaha Tyros & demonstrating the magnificent Viscount range of classical organs, too. Whatever the situation or the instrument, Richard’s enthusiasm and passion is always evident.

Donald Christie

donald-300Donald has been a member of the team and full time musician for over 20 years.

A popular figure with our regular customers Donald is an exceptional pianist and style based keyboard player playing jazz, pop, easy listening and Scottish music.

When not at Key Player Donald can be found playing at Gleneagles Hotel and various venues across Scotland.

Kerr McIntosh

kerr-300 Kerr took over the running of the Key Player in 2006, from his father Bill, having been involved in the family business since his early teens.

“It’s been an exciting few years.  We’ve rebranded from Edinburgh Organ Studio to Key Player, we’ve relocated to Elm Row, Edinburgh, following over 40 years on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile and we now have what I believe is the best team of customer focused keyboard specialists in the country”.
